The draw for the semi-finals of the Kent League Premier Division Cup has been kind to Woodstock Sports, pairing them with Corinthian, the lowest-placed team left in the competition
Sports will have been relieved to have avoided the league’s runaway leaders Herne Bay, who have been drawn with VCD Athletic.
Woodstock will play the first leg at home at a date to be confirmed.
They made it through to the last four following last Monday’s dramatic 5-4 aggregate win over Erith Town, overturning a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, despite only having 13 fit players for the second leg.
This weekend Woodstock play a rearranged fixture away to Erith & Belverdere without the services of the former Sittingbourne and Maidstone striker Lynden Rowland, who is suspended.
The game was originally scheduled for last Saturday, but a frozen pitch at Park View Road forced its postponement.
With the entire league programme falling victim to the elements, the Kent League decided to rearrange its schedule in a bid to keep its member clubs playing as regularly as possible.
Woodstock will now play Fisher Athletic at home on Saturday, February 18, instead of travelling to Corinthian in the league.
