KENT NEWS: Motorists are being advised of a fortnight’s worth of diversions and road closures on a section of the M2.

The work will be carried out every night from tonight between 8pm and 6am, between junctions six (Faversham) and seven (Brenley Corner).

When the coast-bound carriageway is closed, motorists wishing to continue past junction seven will be diverted onto the A251 at junction six.

When the London-bound carriageway is shut, those who want to continue past junction six will be diverted onto the A2 at junction seven.

On other dates throughout the work there will be lane closures and a temporary 50mph speed limit in place.
